M. Boldoo, CEO of XacBank have been awarded the “Jade Medal”
Magvan BOLDOO, CEO of XacBank and TenGer Financial Group, have been honored with the Mongolian Bankers Association’s top award, “Jade medal” for his contribution to the development of Banking and Financial industry of Mongolia, during the association’s 10th Annual Meeting and its 15th anniversary.
Mr. Boldoo Magvan is an expert with more than 25 years of experience in public and private global financial institutions, including Bank of Mongolia, World Bank, and International Monetary Fund where his initiations, contribution to the banking sector and leadership have been highly valued.
To mention some of his achievements, M.BOLDOO actively took part in developing and implementing strategic policy to improve banking and financial sector, renewed the exchange policy for Tugrik to foreign currency and introduced the flexible currency policy while working as the Deputy Governor of Bank of Mongolia from 1996-2000. Also, as the Member of the Advisory committee for MicroStart project implemented by the UN Development program from 1998-1999, he has contributed greatly to the groundwork of micro-financial organizations. He initiated the improvement of legal environment regarding the central and commercial bank activities through implementing BASEL standard to the legal environment of financial industry, balanced ratio requirement, process of issuing banking license, structure reform, auditing on banks and non-banking financial institutions, currency reserves and international standard on accounting.
Mongolian Sustainable Finance is one of Mr. Boldoo’s many initiatives during his time at the Mongolian Bankers Association. He took lead in defining the fundamental ideology and main principles to create good financing system by being ethical, transparent and eco-friendly.
His hard work in banking and financial sector have been appreciated and awarded with ‘Outstanding financier of the industry’, with many other Mongolian top honoraries along with the Jade medal of MBA.
