Initiation and Implementation of Gardening at School No 29 by Tenger Financial Group and XacBank Staff
With the arrival of the warm weather tree planting, lawn care and gardening unfolds nationwide. Tree planting does not only ensure environmental balance but also becomes the basic foundation for a healthy life.
XacBank, a leader in socially responsible banking in Mongolia, focused on ensuring environmental balance with a heritage of green environment for our future generation and combatting desertifcation, has a strong tradition to implement the campaign called XacTogol for planting trees every year.
On May 11, 2014, the Public Tree Planting Day, employees of TenGer Financial Group and its subsidiary companies including XacBank, XacLeasing LLC, Tenger Daatgal LLC, Tenger Capital LLC, XacSecurity LLC and Golden Fund for Development NGO carried out a tree planting project in the surrounding area of Special School No 29 in Khan-Uul District.
XacBank and TenGer Financial Group staff have previously renovated and refurnished the dormitory and surrounding area of the Special School #29 for hearing impaired children. They have also built a green house, planted trees and bushes and installed a basketball playground as well. The staff is happy because they are making a contribution to benefit the environment and other good deeds by maintaining the trees and bushes in addition to new planting.
The XacTogol program has been in place since 2009 and by the end of 2012 XacBank has developed 21 areas in the major residential centers of Mongolia and planted more than 34,000 trees. We don’t go away after planting trees. We take care of our planted trees and the success rate for all trees planted is over 80 percent.
