The Playstation 5 GPU is a high-end gaming console graphics solution by AMD, launched on November 12th, 2020. Built on the 7 nm process, and based on the Oberon graphics processor, in its CXD90044GB variant, the device does not support DirectX. The Oberon graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 308 mm² and 10,600 million transistors. It features 2304 shading units, 144 texture mapping units, and 64 ROPs. AMD includes 16 GB GDDR6 memory, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 2233 MHz, memory is running at 1750 MHz (14 Gbps effective). Its power draw is rated at 180 W maximum. The console's dimensions are 390 mm x 260 mm x 104 mm, and it features a igp cooling solution. Its price at launch was 499 US Dollars.
