Chapter 10. SWT: Coolbars, Tab Folders, Trees, and Browsers

Introduction

This final chapter on SWT covers some of the more advanced widgets: coolbars, tab folders, trees, and browsers. All these widgets have their uses, and we’re going to put them through their paces here.

The browser widget is a new one in Eclipse 3.0; in earlier versions, browsers were supported only in Windows and had to be started using OLE techniques. In Eclipse 3.0, however, a browser widget is built into SWT, and it’s being supported on more and more systems all the time.
