- Super Yoshi: Hello! Welcome to NJT Elimination! Introducing our contestants: [insert names here.] These contestants will be competing for the four tickets to NJT Elimination, as well as to win this season.
NJT Elimination is an elimination show created by Owoshi using Vyond, using NJT stations as contestants. There were ten seasons, one for each of the ten rail lines:
- ACL Elimination (Atlantic City Line)
- BCL Elimination (Bergen County Line)
- GB Elimination (Gladstone Branch)
- MAL Elimination (Main Line)
- MBL Elimination (Montclair-Boonton Line)
- MOL Elimination (Morristown Line)
- NCL Elimination (Northeast Corridor Line)
- NJCL Elimination (North Jersey Coast Line)
- PVL Elimination (Pascack Valley Line)
- RVL Elimination (Raritan Valley Line)
These would lead up to the big season, featuring the final four contestants from each season plus ten contestants chosen by the viewers to be in the big season.
Introducing our tropes:
- Achilles' Heel: In the RVL Elimination episode "Tornado Battle", Raritan was harmed despite her angel powers protecting her from being harmed, much to Newark Penn's amusement; in this case, she was sucked up by the tornado.
- And There Was Much Rejoicing: Essex Street’s elimination in the 6th episode of PVL Elimination resulted in this.
- Ascended Fangirl: Montvale is a huge fan of Mahwah because of them having the same voice and the latter making it to NJT, which would inspire her to win PVL, and provide Mahwah-like techniques to her teams in the big season.
- Big Storm Episode: The 23rd episode of RVL Elimination involved the contestants trying not to get sucked up by a tornado. It was one of the few episodes where Raritan was harmed despite being Made of Iron.
- The following episode (and by extension, the 32nd episode of the big season) involved the contestants trying not to get struck by lightning after invoking the wrath of God.
- Christmas Episode: RVL Elimination 11 involved the contestants finding as many Christmas presents as they can.
- Crossover Cameo:
- In RVL Elimination 14, Bowser showed up to kidnap Roselle Park as part of a hate comment queue against her.
- Boris showed up in the 21st episode of the big season for a hate comment queue against Mahwah.
- Crossover: In the 58th episode of the big season, SuperYoshi called 997, causing the Teletubbies to invade the NJT server. The challenge for the contestants was to not get captured by the Teletubbies.
- Early-Bird Cameo:
- Some of the scenes starting after the point system sections and the final rejoins of NCL, NJCL, and PVL Elimination would introduce a player from the next season after that season. There are a wide variety of examples:
- The clock scenes.
- Before debuting as contestants in PVL and RVL Elimination respectively, Teterboro and Union made a cameo in NJCL Elimination 29 and PVL Elimination 17 to do his "Gun Violence" on the pizza rolls and "personality-rip-off-right" the Arena Closers respectively.
- When Jersey Avenue gets arrested by Security-Widefield in NCL Elimination 18 and decides to give the viewers punishments, Asbury Park tells him that she says it better than him. She instantly proves this when she says she'll do that to the viewers if they call her a genderbent version of him. That is the beginning of her typical Vyond mother personality.
- Before she competed on PVL Elimination, Pearl River shoves Super Yoshi into the ground in NJCL Elimination 32 before reciting her "renegade for life" catchphrase, and being accused by Security-Widefield for making a hate comment against the car that goes wee-woo. She however denies doing so, pointing at Jersey Avenue, who "looks just like the commenter" and is arrested once again by Security-Widefield.
- Before he debuted as a contender in RVL Elimination, Fanwood makes one in NJCL Elimination 22 when he somehow gets a hate comment against him. This would be where he would start his complaining streak.
- Similarly, in NJCL Elimination 21, Oradell appears in a hate comment by HappyKyle1119 before participating in PVL Elimination, where she scolds him for getting her gender wrong, and even grounds the hate comment itself for having a grammar error. This is where she'd start her streak of grounding people for ridiculous reasons and grounding times.
- Some of the scenes starting after the point system sections and the final rejoins of NCL, NJCL, and PVL Elimination would introduce a player from the next season after that season. There are a wide variety of examples:
- The Faceless: All we ever see of God in RVL Elimination 24 is his arms.
- The Ground Is Lava: The challenge in RVL Elimination 10 is to not fall into a volcano.
- Heroic BSoD:
- Many characters throughout the series suffer the Sibling/Separation Depression whenever they get separated from their bestie or sibling(s):
- Ramsey when he lost Ramsey Route 17 in BCL Elimination 12.
- MAL Elimination: Delawanna and Lyndhurst after Clifton and Kingsland's respective eliminations.
- Wayne Route 23 after losing Mountain View in MBL Elimination. We never hear any of his "your mom" jokes after that.
- Wow, Millburn. Bailing on challenges while pining over your bestie Maplewood from MOL 22, yet your brother Short Hills is literally still in the game? Wow, girl. You really care a lot for your family right there, don't you?
- Elizabeth after North Elizabeth's eliminations in NCL Elimination 5 and NJCL Elimination 20. A tad late for the NCL part, since her depression actually occurs next episode, but still.
- Woodbridge after NJCL Elimination 12 has Avenel taken away from him. His dour, gloomy look etched on his face after he's the last one safe could insinuate that point.
- Along with the events of GB Elimination 32, this is one of the reasons why Peapack and Gladstone would directly fit this trope in NJT Elimination 32. This was the main reason why they have become Scrappies!
- New Bridge Landing after River Edge gets eliminated in NJT Elimination 49.
- Happens to Woodcliff Lake in NJT Elimination 59 when he learns that his weekend service doesn't exist.
- Many characters throughout the series suffer the Sibling/Separation Depression whenever they get separated from their bestie or sibling(s):
- Hollywood Heart Attack: Get used to seeing Ridgewood and even Wood-Ridge having these a lot during their screentime. Neither of them rarely go a scene without having one.
- MacGuffin Turned Human: After his elimination in NJCL Elimination 23, Bradley Beach opens the gift he got from NJCL 18, to reveal Neptune, which he had many gags associated to, and becomes human after he snaps to activate her via the instructions. She confesses to him that she's been impressed by his use of his powers with Neptune while she was trapped inside the planet and confesses her feelings for him.
- New Season, New Name: Each season was named after each of the ten rail lines.
- Our Angels Are Different: Raritan has normal human clothes rather than the usual white robes.
- Shout-Out:
- There are a few references to Teletubbies throughout the whole series.
- Watchung Avenue frequently calls people Times Two Teletubbies.
- A contestant who appears in two seasons is called a Double Dipsy.
- In the 59th episode of the big season, Ridgewood recalls Tinky Winky giving him a fake heart attack from the previous episode.
- The 29th episode of GB Elimination (and by extension, the 57th episode of the big season) involved the contestants playing 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show.
- Poppets Town was mentioned in a hate comment against Raritan in the 57th episode of the big season, to which she reacts by saying that she's never watched the show.
- There are a few references to Teletubbies throughout the whole series.
- St. Patrick's Day Episode: MOL Elimination 30 involved the contestants finding a four-leaf-clover. It turns out Hackettstown found it.
- Take That!:
- There is a hate comment queue called "Blue skidoo, we can too", which causes the contestant to "blue skidoo" into the Futureboard, causing it to explode.
- Unexpectedly Dark Episode: Trust me, NJT Elimination 20 is a true
Tear Jerker for the series, with everyone mourning the closure of the OCSN server by NoahR18. Even the mean and funny stations.
- White Flag: Hackettstown basically tends to wave a lot of them when he surrenders.
