Why are you doing this?

We know ads suck, we really do, and we try to work with our ad providers to remove the most obnoxious types. However, over the years we've gotten countless requests from passionate XDA users that are willing to pay to remove ads in a gesture to support the site. Some of these people use ad-blocking software, some don't. Either way, we wanted to at least make the optional available. So for less than $1 per week, we will let you use our ad-free template.

What is your stance on ad-blocking software?

Obviously we prefer if people didn't block ads, but it's your right to do so. If you want to still use an ad-blocker but let ads come through on XDA, you can add us to your whitelist.

Are there any other benefits with XDA Ad-Free?

Not at this time. If enough people use it, we'll consider adding new features and functions. But for now, it simply removes all ads from both the forums and the Portal. As a result, pages are more content-dense and they load a bit faster. Here's a comparison of what pages look like before and after ads: Comparison.

Does Ad-Free work on desktop and mobile?

Yes, as long as you are logged into your account.

Ok soooo how much does it cost?

XDA Ad-Free is $3.49 for one month, $10.99 for three months, or $29.99 for a year. You can choose to buy XDA Ad-Free one-time, or you can do recurring to keep the Ad-Free magic going. And you can gift it! What a great way to show appreciation to a fellow XDA member or developer by giving them total ad banishment. You can pay via bitpay (Bitcoin) or PayPal.

What if I want to cancel?

You can cancel by going to the Ad-Free Manage Page.
