I have not done anything more to this, I will leave it to anyone else to do something with it. A natural first step would be to start allowing typescript in the project, then gradually convert one and one component as we go and or want. |

This is my attempt of converting at least some stuff to typeScript. Many of the types are very hard to find correct types for.
Please do whatever you like with this PR, get inspiration for other TypeScript coding and or continue building on it.
Should probably merge master into typescript branch, before anyone do more work on this to save time.
