For some reason this didn't show up on the original PR or was missed but is now making CI fail after the sorting merge.

Curious(?), the CI seems to not have fail occasionally in recent past (https://dev.azure.com/numpy/numpy/_build/results?buildId=28274&view=logs&j=18515132-e413-51c9-7dd5-a26f938caf3e). This shouldn't be hardware dependent, should it?
