Description

This is a planned rewrite for the selector engine built into jQuery that will alter its overall strategy. We've already removed Sizzle in the main branch, but CSS4 selectors such as :is and others do not yet work in all cases.

Any issues related to specific modern selectors should be closed as dupes of this one.
